Stella

This girlie is not so small and her heart fits her size perfectly! She is a strong young Rottweiler and super duper playful. She responds well to training and loves her treats. She is in search of her furever family. Stella warms up to people quickly and will become very affectionate. With other dogs, she usually does very well and would love a doggy brother or sister. Stella just adores going on car rides, almost as much as playing. She knows that soon she will find a family she can call her own, even if she loves her foster parents at B.A.R.K. She wants a family that will play ball for hours and go on fun walks and take her in the car places and cuddle... You know, all that fun stuff!

Eden

This girl is a Sheltie x Collie and she may be blind but she will find her way into your heart. Eden is on her way into foster at the Adopt-a-Pet-Rescue as she was at a high kill shelter. She spent most of her life on a chain and can sometimes get defensive but otherwise is a sweet little girl. Eden is not yet up for adoption because she must first get settled in foster. She was most likely blind for most of her life as she is quite comfortable getting around. Eden is about six years old. She is looking for a furever home that can properly care for her and will lovingly show her how dogs should live. Walks, playing and parks will be new to Eden although there's no doubt she will love them. There's a bright future ahead for this girlie.

Blossom, Carman and Thai

These three pups are making their way into the world! At eight weeks, they are babies who play all day every day... except for when they sleep, cuddle and train. These guys are lab x Great Pyreneese meaning they will grow to be very big. They pounce at life with both paws outstretched and gaze at it with their big, lovable doggy smiles. Happy as can be, all they need now is to leave foster for a forever home. Three furever homes are difficult to find but they'll do it. They are very smart and listen well. If trained properly, they can do many tricks. The girlies, Blossom and Carman, are patched white and black where as the little boy, Thai, is mostly black with a few white dots. These love bugs are currently in foster at the Renewed Life Animal Rescue.

Belle

Belle has been looking for a furever home for a long time. She is a beautiful senior cat who is currently at the Animal Rescue Network. Belle is a silly kitty because she enjoys talking a lot, telling stories in little meows as she follows people around. She only wants cuddles and to sit in someone's arms, to be loved. This love bug has the sweetest green eyes that will have a certain special someone wrapped around her little paws. Belle wants to end her tiring search for a family and hopefully it will end soon so that she can spend the rest of her years wrapped in arms of love.

Honey

Meet Honey, a sweetheart who will wiggle into your heart with her big brown eyes. She is a tad shy at first but she will warm up to you with time. Until recently, she lived in a puppy mill. The Canadian Shar Pei Rescue took her under their wing and got her into a loving foster home. She is being trained and learning to be a happy dog. Honey is doing exceptionally well with a bit of patience and is on her way to a real dog life, the one with long walks and cuddles. She is looking for a forever home, one that is dog friendly, patient and loving. This girly just adores playing, whether it is a game or fooling around with another dog of any size. Honey is going to continue to blossom into a beautiful, happy-nature pup.

Chance

The Animal Advocates Society has multiple rescue methods and one particular kind of rescue is quite unique and special. They call it the moonlight rescue. If you are like me and have not heard of this before, let me explain. Step 1: there is a dog chained up, locked up or penned up in a small space being abused mentally (and possibly physically) with no attention and barely enough food. Step 2: call the SPCA. The BC SPCA is not up to par and as long as there is food, water and shelter, they 'cannot' (more likely will not) do anything. Step 3: wait until moonlight and take the dog. Yes, it is illegal to kidnap a dog however the AAS will never leave a dog to be abused if they can do something about it. Quite frankly, the families left without a dog have learnt their lesson.

This is the outline of Chance's story. Chance is an older dog who spent his life up until his rescue on a chain in a lonely, dirty yard. He got fed a bit and not well when he was. A pitiful life it was, it was more like mere existence. He was out in negative forty to plus thirty degrees, never being let inside. He even howled and whined most nights to be loved. Sadly, the SPCA said they could do nothing. Then the AAS stepped in. After a moonlight rescue to his new foster home, this old boy was given his name Chance for his new chance at life. Once in his new foster home- which was equipped with multiple resting places, a bin of toys in every room, fully dog-proofed and a vast array of bones everywhere- he showed his true lovable nature. A spark had ignited in his spirit and Chance lit up brighter than any Christmas tree full of happiness, love, joy and any positive emotion you can imagine. The vet assessed Chance to say that other than some minor issues caused by starvation, Chance was quite healthy. He is currently in foster, learning how to be an inside dog (and catching on fast). He is loving it.

Henry

This kitty cat has had a change of luck recently and his world has been flipped upside down... in a good way of course! This cutie was abandoned by his previous family. Scared to death on the streets, Henry was picked up by Annex Cat Rescue. The volunteers quickly discovered his friendly side as Henry is quite affectionate. Now healthy, happy and in a warm foster home, this boy is ready for a furever family. Henry may be shy at first but don't let that fool you as he is adorable and lovable if you are patient and sweet talk him.
